Setsima : Exclusive interview with the legendary Fatou Sarr Thialane and her band - Groupe yaalyo goorwa de Mère Fatou Sarr thialane (2nd March 2019

Setsima is a new weekly chat show presented by DJ Mac (Macaire Ndiaye). Each week, DJ Mac invites a new Seereer/Senegambian personality to chat about their life and work (similar to our old Cosaan Seereer programme). This show - which is broadcast in Wolof goes out every Saturday from 17:00 to 18:00 GMT. The Seereer version of this show is Kirinene Ngueelne - which is broadcast every Saturday from 16:00 to 17:00 GMT and presented by DJ Mac. Setsima follows the same format as Kirinene Ngueelne but in Wolof. DJ Mac can also be heard on Jeetaay which now goes out every Thursday from 21:00 GMT.

Kirinene Ngueelne : Exclusive interview with Simon Sene (2nd March 2019)

Kirinene Ngueelne is a new weekly chat show presented by DJ Mac (Macaire Ndiaye). Each week, DJ Mac invites a new Seereer/Senegambian personality to chat about their life and work (similar to our old Cosaan Seereer programme). Today is election day in Senegal and results are coming out fast. Senior broadcaster Tamsier Joof hosts a special edition of Open Mike from our London studio joined by our field journalists in Senegal namely:  Macaire Ndiaye (DJ Mac),  Ousseynou Sow, Doudou Thiane, Alex Sagna, Fatou Dieng, Dame Ndiaye. Roundup and more results! Incumbent - President Macky Sall also gives his reactions to this presidential election. Although more results are due to come out, and the official results are not expected until next Friday, 1st March 2019, Tamsier "confirms" that Macky Sall has won. All our official documents regarding this election has been posted on Seereer Radio's Facebook. Tamsier also discusses the impact of "Macky's victory" on the Senegalese people.  Join Tamsier tomorrow night for another edition of Open Mike where he delves deeper into the political impact of "Macky's victory." Today is election day in Senegal and results are coming out fast. Senior broadcaster Tamsier Joof hosts a special edition of the Drive Time Show from our London studio joined by our field journalists in Senegal. This is the first set of results delivered by Senior reporter Macaire Ndiaye (DJ Mac) live from Senegal - who joined Tamsier Joof at our London studio - on the phone. Tamsier had already finished the Morning Ride Show, and then the Drive Time Show few minutes before results started to come out later in the afternoon (see our previous Morning Ride and Drive Time Shows) and had to go back on air to take the results on-air.
